Q & A

What drew you to this profession?

My dad was a management consultant who helped organizations solve business and talent challenges. Nearly every month, he would ask me, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” For years, I did not have a clear answer.

Over time, I realized I was drawn to the same kind of work that shaped his career: understanding people, seeing where they fit, and connecting talent to opportunity. That led me to develop a strong instinct for spotting patterns in people’s skills, strengths, and motivations, including the ones they may not fully see in themselves.

I love helping people recognize their value, understand where they can thrive, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How would you describe your approach to your work?

I approach my work with collaboration and strategy. I start by listening carefully so I can understand the client’s goals, challenges, and what success looks like. Whether I am helping a professional navigate a career decision or partnering with an organization on talent strategy, I aim to bring clarity, perspective, and steady guidance. I think ahead, so I can shape solutions that work for today and what comes next. People are often making important decisions at pivotal moments, and I never lose sight of how much that matters.

What accomplishment are you most proud of, and why?

I have two sons, and I am incredibly proud of both of them. One is the CEO of an advanced manufacturing company, and the other is a K9 officer. As a talent and career strategist, it would have been easy to become too involved in their career decisions. What means the most to me is that they felt free, supported, and confident enough to choose paths that were right for them. Watching them build lives and careers that fit them so well is something I will always be proud of.

What values guide the way you work?

Integrity, collaboration, creativity, and dependability.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your profession?

Get clear on who you are, what you do well, and where you can create value. Continue building your skills and nurture your network over time. Be known for follow-through, curiosity, and how you treat people. That reputation can open more doors than you think.
